.Zürich Hauptbahnhof - Zurich HB is one of the busiest train stations in the world, served by more than 2,700 daily trains. The station is busy at all times, with trains running as early as 5 AM and as late as 1 AM during the week. From Friday night to Sunday morning, the trains run all day and all night as part of the ZVV Nachtnetz (night network).

Numerous trams, trolleybuses and buses link to the main station.

The train station is home to a vast underground shopping centre, of over 200 shops or other businesses. The huge underground "Rail City" is, therefore, usually bustling on Sundays even while the streets of Zurich are largely empty.

If your looking for transportation from the airport, the train is an excellent way to go . The subterranean train station is directly beneath Terminal B. Trains depart 4–7 times hourly all day to the city’s main station, Zurich Train Station - Zurich HB. It's about a 10 minute ride, with the first train departing at 05.40 and the last train at 00.20. Departures are also frequent to points all over the country, so if you’re heading elsewhere you can generally get a train directly from the airport, avoiding a change at Zürich Train Station.

The official language in Zurich is German, although French, Italian and Romansch are spoken in other parts of Switzerland, Schweizerdeutsch (Swiss German) varies considerably from Hochdeutsch (High German), to the extent that Swiss films are often shown with subtitles in Germany.

Gruezi is the most common greeting, and ‘thank you’ can be either Merci vielmal or Danke (pronounced ‘dankre’). English is widely spoken in hotels, restaurants, shops and business settings.

Could you please tell me if there are any luggage lockers at the Zurich HB? If yes, could you please tell me how much they cost and how long luggage can be stored in them? Could you also please tell me how much the left-luggage counter at the Zurich HB costs?

You may deposit your luggage safely and securely in lockers at Zurich HB railway station. The following lockers are at your disposal (locker size in cm W x L x D):
- Small 24.8 x 42.0 x 75.0 / CHF 6.00 per locker
- Large  44.7 x 61.5 x 88.0 / CHF 9.00 per locker
